Hi Everyone,
I am parting out my 240D. I have the rheostat, hazard switch, original Becker AM-FM stereo (two speaker), sunroof motor, etc. I would rather sell items to enthusiasts and not on eBay, so if you need something not mentioned, let me know and I will see if I still have it. Just drop me an email if interested.
Thanks,
Johnathan

That's great, Chip!
Vacuum fixes are on my list, and I know I'll be returning to all the good info shared here soon enough.

However, it is turning to blue dust. Really fine stuff that clings to what ever touches it, hands, sleave, coat, the car seats when removing it....
It seems like it did not like the intense heat and sunlight.
Has anyone replaced their deck lid cover and what did you use?
Looking for cheap, not crappy looking, and will take the heat and UV rays.
Many Thanks,
Steve

Drawn are lines through my first to items on the MB Bucket List. After replacing the driver side vacuum control lock and the rusted shut passenger side vacuum lock (via Hans) everything lock tight in my MB Coupe. And it all unlocks in the morning with the turn of a key.
An added benefit of this repair is that my car now shuts down immediately with the turn of the ignition key.

[diesel_mercedes] What to use to cover rear deck lid ?
So my rear deck lid (area between rear window and reat seat) cover was toast when I bought my car so I through a peice of carpet there. Looked nice enough when I put it in, and when I pulled it out (this past Monday) three years later.
However, it is turning to blue dust. Really fine stuff that clings to what ever touches it, hands, sleave, coat, the car seats when removing it....

Nate,
I am surprised that you class a Morgan as a little British car. I have never driven one but as I think about them compared to the Metropolitan, MG or Austin I think of them as a big step up. Wood frame no less, as best I remember.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Old pickup trucks
I have to admit, I'd about forgotten what "Heavy Duty" meant.
This past weekend, I rescued from an orchard, - where it'd been parked since '03 - a 1964 International C1200 3/4 ton pickup. When the 20-something tow truck driver showed up, he got out of his rig and climbed all over the old 'binder, knocking, slamming, peering... Presently he turned and said: "Jesus, what a tank!" And so I have my very first vehicle with a name..
I've gotten it running, but it needs a lot of work. An artifact from a time when heavy duty was a bit more than a decal on a caruck..
