What shift flares?
1-2, 2-3, 3-4?

The modulator can be adjusted by removing the cap and turning the key.

Another thing is the kickdown switch under the pedal can get stuck on.

I did a little research on the shift points and where it should be shifting.

It took 6 1/2 turns of the Bowden adjusting nut in order to get it to shift at 4500 rpm at WOT. Now there is zero flare at any speed or any pedal pressure.I backed out the "T" adjuster on the vacuum modulator 1/2 turn. Smoother shifts.


The car feels a lot faster and much smoother.
