in re-thinking hindsight ....
some of what I know, and or, have said about the tech part of tinting ...
getting close cuts ,
shrink form-fitting of curved glass w/ right amount of heat,
use of proprietary wetting solutions ...
makes more sense to go to a custom shop.
This place I described,...
(which from the directions, you can zero in enough on it at Googleearth and readily recognize it when you get to the spot , print the satellite view)
......just impressed me with having the computer cutter that pumped out large incised sheet with exact window dimensions for all 3 28-29 year old vehicles. ... and further impressed me with the courtesy and valuable informative advice. Guy said he could do any car in any book. [no, I did not ask about a 1905 Baker Electric]
sorry I don't remember the place name right off ... but I believe in at least trying in giving as much credit where it is due.
And I do that because of so many of the "who-cares" duefuses out there ... who are so much more expensive.
Properly applying auto window tint is not as loosey-goosey as using Home Depot D.I.Y. stuff w/soapwater.
A person could waste a LOT of time, and wasted tint, on a mediocre result.
=====================
this place, a 3 bay shop, is in Laurel Md. on east side of "Baltimore Ave" (otherwise known as Rte 1), just a couple doors south of Contee Rd.
This all they do , apply tint, on a first-come-first-serve basis. the mgr-in-Chief KNOWS what he is doing and makes the usual required disclaimers about % and what is & is not legal ...
e.g.: reflective silver "a big no no" ... {but, well...., 'has it on hand '}.
