[diesel_mercedes] Re: A little ATF in the tank For ultra low sulfur fuels
Doug ;
I've not seen any Typ A ATF in sometime now ~ just this past weekend we were looking for Dexron for the 1980 Caddy Hearse and could only find Dexron III .
A bit of ATF in the gastank of my old 1949 Chevy Shop Truck stops the valves from " Shooting Ducks " @ idle....

Add to the tank before filling, so it will mix better.

But only for maybe 5 miles of lite driving or fast idle for 30 minutes.

For a serious delicious and healthy blow out try equal parts of liquid honey and apple vinegar diluted with 8 -10 parts carbonated water, drink warm and recline...............
Dear Doug,
I am a type A and have had gas in my tank for 70 years. It is increasing as I made a couple of gallons of chili beans this past week. I don't use this in the car, but it seriously increases the gas emissions in and around my dwelling. My wife bought some Beano and I will now have to check and make sure she does not secretly add that to my gas tank.

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: A little gas in the tank, also ultra low sulfur fuels
This is very interesting to me. I failed the emission test some years ago and the vehicle in question was not worth spending on so on a tip I dumped some Dexron auto oil in the tank. I did nothing elkse and passed with flying colors.
Still don't understand why!
