[diesel_mercedes] 81 300TD hvac wiring/vacuum/control diagram wanted

Hey all:

Anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for my 81 wagon? It's not the Klima/monovalve type. The floor deflectors aren't working and it cools off when the engine is revving. I have lot's of spare parts from parts cars. But no information.

TIA,
Bogy.

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Rubber muffler hangers for 123

Jeeze ~

The W-107 lifetime exhaust hangers are only $6.00 each.... just do the smart thing and fix it once , correctly and be done with that , move on to the other , more important things .

[diesel_mercedes] Re: Shutdown intermittent for "83 300SD

Thanks, Brian. My 300SD started shutting down OK for no apparent reason. It takes about 5 seconds for a short run and 30 seconds after a run at normal coolant temp and 70 mph. The seems normal for my Cummins. I don't know what is normal for a 300SD. This is all for low altitude. High altitude takes a longer cooldown in the Cummins.

However, the transmission doesn't shift right, so I suspect that there is a vacuum problem.

Hmm, I bet I have miles of various sized hose in my trunk, and hundreds of coat hangers. Is this destiny calling re a new occupation?

To make a rubber loop with wire reinforcement, you can take a piece of 1/4" hose of the length you need, loop a clothes hanger wire through it twice, pull it tight, fold the two ends of the wire over each other to link it, cut the wire ends to a length you can stuff into the hose.
