Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re: Max, 123 TD's, and medical trial 'n tribulations

    ROAD TRIP!!

This is the kind of thing that brother Nate would come up with and then send me an email announcing that he's going and expects me to come along.

When Nate's son was much younger, we hit the road on a couple of trips with him.  He hadn't been out of the city much, so it was a marvelous opportunity for him to see the country.  I still love getting out on the road, just to look around as we drive.

Oh Max, this situation is killing me. You are a couple of hours from the left coast. I am a couple hours from the right coast (central Pa), and we have the huge, wide North Amercia in between. Hmmmm.
I really wish we were a lot closer, it would be tempting to drive out with a trailer and pick up one of the TD's to use as a parts car.
Dang.
Soludos 'eh?

I will sell anything off of them but I can't do much myself anymore. More than simple I would have to get someone to remove it. Just to let you all know know. The 1981 turbo could be restored if someone wanted to. Max

Re: [diesel_mercedes] Re : AC V-Belt

I think I kinda overwhelmed you with ideas as you were doing the engine swap....

No you didn't overwhelm us, it was the car/project that did it! :)  But we got through it!

FWIW , the AC compressor has a semi hidden adjuster bolt / screw thing , it takes a 13MM socket and has quite a bit of travel so maybe you didn't slack the AC compressor all the way so you actually did get the correct V-Velt .

No the belt we have is from my original motor, it's too short.  The a/c is also from the other motor, but should be fine from what I've researched.
