If the blower still worked on defrost it's probably in need of brushes .

I bought one ' Uro ' brand fan motor , it works O.K. but vibrates a tiny bit at high speed .

I've replaced the brushes in other blowers , one in particular had a very bad commutator but it's still working fine .

403 miles , 23.4 MPG , I only ran the AC once or twice to keep it lubricated , maybe 30 minutes .

NO additives used .

Thanks for the reminder. Think I will put #4 of 5 glow plugs in the wifes car, and then look at her failed heat providing system. Think her blower is down, but will start with the easy stuff first (fuses, mono, etc.)

It was a balmy 61° F @ 0-Dark:30 when I left for work this morning , still no heat so I simply shut off the HVAC and kept the windows up .

No jacket needed yet....

THAT'S interesting ! my Monovalve  has a thick flat washer in there too ~ I know Victor was fooling with it , maybe I should remove it and see what transpires .

I can get heat by simply unplugging the valve but I'd rather it work properly .
