I know things are only worth what someone is willing to pay.
But in general what can I get out of the original motor from my '81 300D? Not sure if it threw a rod or not. Summer camp is almost over, Kevin can pop the top then and find out the condition.
Also, how low should I go in selling my '81 300 with the turbo? Rust in floor board. Dent on drivers side. Only two windows work, if persuaded on one of them. A/C may or may not work, have new belt, but it's not on it. New speedometer cable, not installed. Rear Main seal leak which we aren't going to fix. I may or may not fix the turbo oil leak, depending on what I can get out of the car. It has new Walmart tires. New stereo (I think it's sony), all sorts of other new stuff, can't think of everything right now. Rear brakes need to be done soon. Low miles, approx 120,000 on motor, and 260,000 on chassis. Front seats need help. Carpet OK. Headliner OK. Sunroof works. Could use door & window gaskets. Has all of the original hub caps.
