_maybe_ new brushes added ~ they won't have new bearings etc.- I've
used and sold , a lot of $65.00 alternators over the years as some
customers insist on them , I don't handle this typ if low end parts
usually as they tend to come back in a year or so and you can bet ,
the customer never remembers they insisted on a cheapo part ,
they'll blame _YOU_ ~ the " bad mechanic I went to last time " .
" the bitterness of low quality is remembered long after the
sweetness of low price has been forgotton " .
Go look at the price of the parts needed to make it truely " like
new " , it is more than $65.00 jobber price (lower than you'll ever
get) and then there's labor , shop overhead and on and on...
I am _NOT_ bagging on you here Darryl , just laying out the facts .
most of the time , I'll go junkyard hunting until I find a recently
rebuilt unit on a smasher and then only pay $30.00 for it , I'm a
Yankee through and through , I _never_ get up off a dime unless I'm
sure of good dollar value .

Also, Check with the MBUSA classic center and you can find out which
gasser alternators fit the 123-126 series. Those alternators are
modern, made by Bosch and totally rebuildable. In a lot of cases
they go cheap because people don't know about interchangeability.
