[diesel_mercedes] AT bushings

Wow! I just got through installing bushings on my 84 300D for the
shift linkage. What a PITA!!I spent more time replacing those two
than replacing the starter. I wound up heating them in a microwave
next to the car. Not for the faint of heart for sure. I now can
start the thing in park and park holds. Now I'm on to parking brake
adjustments.
