to budge using diesel, then kerosene, then gasoline...pumping it
through the filter (in the reverse direction) pretty well with a
turkey bastar.
I may have tried some type of spray cleaner after that...I don't
remember if it was carb cleaner or brake cleaner or what. By the
time I was into it for what seemed like an hour, I figured it was
worth just changing the $2 filter. ...probably used more than $2
worth stuff of trying to clean it. ...and more than $300 worth of
my patience :-)
I'd like to know more about the "chain dance" method of cleaning out
the tank. I had the trunk panel out last WE and it doesn't look
like it's too hard to take out the tank. I'd be concerned about
making a spark inside the tank, especially if using gasoline.
