This is a start ;
You'll also need two clear plastic primary fuel filters (' Intake Screen ') and about 1 meter more than they'll tell you need of the tiny (? 7 MM ?) injector return hose .
Plus the primer pump .
Yes , if there's an air leak it will run once started *but* I've had them run very well when leaking as well as have a miss when leaking also running poorly when leaking hoses , each car & engine responds differently to air in the fuel system .
I am not there to see but if you see _any_tiny cracks or wetness in any of the fuel system hoses and have not yet changed them replacing them all is a very good starting point .
Look in the top of the secondary (spin on) fuel filter too ~ if there's a black coating of slimy crud you've discovered yet another problem .
Also , as long as you're draining the fuel tank to replace it's outlet hose , I'd make dang sure to get a cheap 46 MM socket and remove the in take strainer and look at it , clean or replace if it's not HOSPITAL clean .
The good thing is : this is all simple (if very greasy) D.I.Y. stuff ANYONE handy with basic tools can do ~ hopefully you have at least two of the correct band clamps Ken supplies , you'll need to for the intake screen and I always leep a couple spares in the trunk _for good measure as the often get away from me when I'd changing or cleaning my primary intake screen on the side of the road 300 miles from home .
I hope this helps ? .
Remember when you're under neath the car , SUPPORT IT WELL ! no piles of lumber , cinder block etc. ~! USE RAMPS OR JACK STANDS !! .
