Yes , the lower radiator hose one is both cheapest and easiest to install...
You needn't get s super high wattage one either ~ any heat in the water jacket will do .
Some times the older Diesels have a core plug block hear i there already , they're just missing the cords , the cords are cheap .
Look underneath the right side of the engine with a flashlight , if you see a plug , all you need is the cord .

Sadly no block heater...yet. It's on the list, but I may not be able to get to
that until next year. We rarely need a car early in the morning. It tends to
warm up fast here...just fairly cold at night in the high desert. It's
definitely a "want" and of course if we really start having problems that might
get boosted ;)
What do you all recommend for block heaters? It doesn't get *that* cold here,
and it's mostly cold at night. What about the ones that go on .. what is
it....the lower radiator hose or something?
