I have read enough about the Nitrogen versus air debate, and from
that, I gleaned:
1. Once you have nitrogen in your tires (esp RV's), you then have to
go find a source. PITA.
2. Then you have to wiggle the rig into a parking lot such as a
Costco or other retailer and have THEM fill your tires for you. PITA.
It seems to me that it is far easier to perform your OWN tire pressure
checks and while you are down on your knees checking your air (already
half of the work is done), then I will continue to just hook up my
dessicant filtered air and fill my own tires.
With the Nitrogen hassle, you check you own tires anyway (you have to,
unless you have an on-board Air Butler (what a thought! I wonder if
my wife would be willing?), THEN you discover your pressure is down
and then number one and two apply which is a PITA.
I am not going to hassle with it. We've been using air in tires
since the last century and it has worked quite well. Ultimately,
with what I am seeing lately - - the government is going to mandate
it - - so in the meantime, I am voting for plain old air.
