On the switch that came out of my 126, and the one we got in the P-a-P yard, the wires are SOLDERED onto the switch. If they are screw-on on your new, expensive replacement switch, AND on the old switch, then your operation is much easier. Just be careful that you don't misplace any wire when reconnecting them!

I've been in there, working on both removing and installing this switch. I can't see how it could be done without removing the wheel.

BTW, OT but I know a number of us are "into" alternative transportation... I bought a 48v 500w electric bicycle wheel and a rechargeable lithium battery off ebay direct from China. Put it on my old hybrid bike and that thing really gets down the road. 20 mile range at around 23 mph. It's a lot of fun, I recommend it as a project if any of you guys are into electric vehicles.
