Wow ~ that's a GREAT price .
The OEM w-123 blower motor is a seriously over engineered part , that's why they're so dang expen$ive .
I bet the Uro one will do fine but won't last 340,000 miles with only one cleaning and brush replacement .
I was talking to Tom yesterday about making a photo DIY tutorial on the brush replacement , he'll hold the camera as I go through the steps , it's not terribly difficult , it _is_ a very dirty job if you do it right .
I'm keen to hear if the new combination switch has " SWF " stamped in it , that's the really good stuff .
Advice ? take your time and have plenty of light colored clean rags to cover the passenger's side footwell , plus your favorite plastic cleaner as leaves & dust will be falling out of the plenums when you remove the blower and there are small screws etc. that are easy to drop and lose , you need ALL of them .
Have a flashlight with new batteries , slide the passenger seat all the way back , look at the new motor to discern where the four # 2 phillips headed screws are , one is semi - hidden , I remove it first and replace it last so as not not break anything .
Drop the lower dash panel gently and the blower motor is easy to access , you only need to contort like a circus performar to get in there .
Hold both sides of the black plastic plug as you disconnect the wire , pulling the wires will rip them out of the plug and pi$$ you off .
I just installed new brushes and the current draw was considerably reduced in spite of the commutator being worn at a 40° angle .
I bet your new motor will draw even less .

> Anyone tried the Uro Parts Blower Motor for the W123? Remember for a while those motors became impossible to get and suddenly went over $500 new? Now I see they are back as Uro Parts new around $90 at the usual places, autohausaz.com, rmeuropean.com, ebay.com, etc. I just ordered one for my 84 300D...hope they draw less amperage than the original. Will let you know how it works out if anyone is interested. Also ordered a new combo switch (turn signal/wiper/etc) same brand Uro Parts $50. My original switch is worn out. I hope that is not a hard job to swap out. Anyone done this job? Advice appreciated.
