Buy the oil is the point ~ it's seriously cheap .
Whenever I go in for these things , I get the filter for my old truck that uses cheap oil because the engine's worn out and burns oil like crazy .
I use the synthetic oil in my Mercedes' and cave the filter for the truck or toss it out , who cares ? .
I typically but at least two specials , more if they'll let me as oil doesn't go bad in the garage and I'll use every drop of it in time .
At this point , I prolly have enough cases of oil filters for my old truck and MG to last the rest of the decade , I only post these for the cheap oil .
Mercedes cannister typ oil filters are only $10 or so , every time I find them on sale I buy 4 or more and save them .
