Some of you may recall that a year ago I was offered a 300D wagon, up in the hills in bear country. Well I let it go last year, because the man was up to his ears in legal stuff (pot patch and bear feeding) A month ago I called him & he told me that he had sent the car to a wrecker, but did not know which one. Today we started driving around to wreckers looking for the car, we found it. Now for the bad stuff, the wrecker loaned it to a charity, who sold for a $ or 2 the privilege of whacking the car with a sledge hammer. There is no glass anywhere, the radio is gone, and the body is pretty beat up. Under the hood looks ok, seats not bad, I can get the parts I need pretty reasonably, and have about 1 month before they crush it. I understand the engine/trans is good it has the same style wheels (cannot remember the name) that Nate got painted a few years back. they look good, bumpers were beaten off the car. If any one needs some bits, shoot me a note, I want the cruise mod, the window crank the antenna if it matches, the water pump and other odments.
It is hot here & I do not think I am up to (senior citizen here) taking stuff like the vacuum pump off, radiator is busted in the same place mine was. When you think about the car, just remember that if it was easy and satisfying to whack a part with a hammer, it got whacked.
