FWIW ;

Those pesky phillips screws can be forced out by using a pair of dykes to grab the screw head , you need yo use a dykes that'll reach the bottom of the slot & squeeze tightly , give 'em a twist , gradually applying counter clockwise rotational force , the screw will
begin to tirn after a moment .

Thos band clamps Mercedes uses , are special and worth the effort to rustle up some spares of , American screw typ clamps beat up on the hoses and cause shorter service life .

If the clamp screw head strips completely , just use the dykes to cut the ruined clamp away ~ this is why Professional Mechanics prefer good quality tools : when the job goes sick , Chinese tools won't be good enough to salvage it .
