I don't think so.
You are dealing with the fuel system. If it leaks, you will be able to see it. If you cut it off, the engine will not start. If you jam it so the engine will not stop - you are back
You are also dealing with the vacuum system. If you create a leak, it may stop the door locks, etc from working, but it will not damage the engine because the vacuum is generated by a pump, rather than coming from the intake manifold (like on a spark ignition engine).
So, you might cause various problems, but you should not damage the engine.
