[diesel_mercedes] Re: Doing some R&D need your help

up until this last post, i thought I might have an answer for you, but I'm not sure, so here goes. I own a 300sd. On the top of the valve cover is a mechanical triangle piece that bolts into the cover and connects all the throttle thing a ma jigs. (notice all the technical terms). Once when I did a valve adjustment, I hooked up these mechanical arms in the wrong place. When I drove the car it lacked power. i.e. the way I screwed up the metal rods, I stopped the engine from getting full power. The throttle could not open all the way.

As Brian said the first choice would be filters, then fuel hoses. So if that fails, get a picture of the top of a working 123 and be sure your metal/mechanical arms are in their proper place.
just my 2 cents.
