Re: [Diesel-RVs] Splendide 2000 Washer/Dryer Model# WD802M

Our Maytag at home uses a DC motor as well. But in the house it doesn't mean much. They increase efficiency further by spinning the clothes at 800 RPM so they are nearly dry when you move them to the dryer.

Do you have any idea what the spin cycle speed is on the Splendide?

The problem with the Splendide machines are that they are Direct Current ( DC ) controls and motor. Therefore you have to take Alternating Current ( AC ) and change it to Direct Current to operate the machine. DC motors are not as efficient as AC motors. Chuck B

reason! It started out just being the final cycle and then moved
to other cycle too. For a while, I could wash on the regular cycle
and then switch to one of the other options to spin!
We had pebbles in the water pump! Go figure!
The W/D needed to be removed from the coach so the RV guy could take
it to his shop to trouble shoot. It appears it could have been the
timer, the pump or some circuit board. The RV guy had to take the
doors off of the cabinet to remove it. Next he had to take out the
driver's captain chair and go out the driver's side door. It would
not fit thru the regular door. He also told me, for the coaches with
no driver door, they have to take out the windshield to get the w/d out!
Anyhow, after cleaning the pump, mine is working great!
Our is a Spendide 2000 W/D Model #WD802M also.

Do you have a clean out drain on the front? Have you cleaned it lately?
