engine. I have a question about "gas mileage." Often, while driving
in only slightly hilly country, the transmission will down shift going
up a slight incline. Often, when I see the little rise coming, I
disengage the cruse control and just keep my foot steady on the
accelerator which lets the truck slow slightly and keeps it from down
shifting. Then, after I am over the hill, I turn the cruse control
back on. Should I always drive with the "tow mode" on? This gives the
engine more power and increases the rpm's some. I always assumed that
the increased rpm's would decrease my mpg? Is this right? Should I
just always drive with the "tow mode" on? Would this be better on my
engine? Would it cause me to get less mpg?
