True. We left our toad with the nitrogen filled tires in the garage for
5 months while we were off towing the other toad. Upon return, check the
tires and none needed air. Based on previous experience with regular
"air", all would have needed a few PSI.
Costco's switch to nitrogen has me a little puzzled. All though they do
talk about it, the fact that they provide nitrogen is not a strong
promotional item. My wild guess is that, knowing how bad Americans are
at checking tire pressure, they figure with the relatively much slower
loss of air due to migration, that tires will stay inflated enough until
we idiots remember to check and that there will be fewer tire failures
under warranty due to under inflation. Just a possibility.
