What? The bleeder was the first thing I did , very easy. Seemed to work just fine. Max

Yes Sir, correctamundo. I actually never looked, but I was told n-o ring, my guy thought it was on the piston. OK, got my little brass brushes, cleaner. For a dental pic I got nut pics. 2 of them because I might break one(cheap), might try to put more bend in it if needed. Why is such a simple plan so difficult to actually pull off? Smoke is making breathing questionable. Summer, gotta love it. Max
Make sure you do what is needed to get the bleeder screw loose. Might be smart to replace it. If you break it off, you will be a sad man. It might be necessary to use an oxyacetylene torch to get the adjacent cast area reddish hot. Do not just heat the bleeder screw. Use judicious power on a good fitting 6 point socket to work it. Do this after you have taken the caliper completely apart.
While the housing is cooling, take some time to make certain that the bleeder screw is clear or dirt and rust. Just above the tapered (sealing) tip is a very small sideways hole that leads into the hollow interior. Use a small drill bit to clear the bleeder screw from both directions, then blow it clean. If it is at all dodgy, get a new one.
