I used to take Zocor for cholesterol and spent over a grand out of my pocket only to have my "doctors" tell me they could not find anything. I was taking the same pain meds you have and the results were similar. RA was considered as a "cause" of my troubles but before I got to the rhumetologist I went to my wife's chiropractor. He poked around, asked a few questions, and in 15 minutes had a diagnosis. The statins can cause "statin induced rhabdomyolysis" which they claim is "rare" but he says otherwise!

Anyhow, I seem to be on the mend after taking his advice and I am thankful. If you take them I would suggest discussing it with a practitioner OTHER than an MD. ALL they want to do is push a pill! If you are interested contact me out of the group and I can explain more.
