Hi Tom
Yes, that's exactly what I have. We didn't take out the drain plug, we dropped the pan to replace the gasket. I'll take out the plug tonight when we go over there. We hope to drop the motor and trans in tonight.
I hope I can send this message! I honked up my settings. Got a message from the group on my phone, but can't reply. I couldn't reply from this email address either, only from the group site on yahoo. I think I got it back to how it was before I started plinking around. I wanted to get the group messages on my phone so I could also send. Oh well. I can't post pics from my phone anyhow.
Trish,If they came with the oil filter, they are for the oil drain plug. There should be one copper and one aluminum. Which one you use depends on which one your car calls for (the filter will fit various companies' cars).I believe that all MBZs use the copper washer.TomIn a message dated 12/27/2011 1:55:10 P.M. That could be, that it goes to the drain plug..anyone else out there with an answer???
