I am slothful and only change the big O ring most of thew time, but sometimes I get cranked up and change copper washers too (not very often though, I have a nice assortment of copper washers). You  purists in the group,  respond with "best practice" advice.

We started putting my car back together yesterday.  Changed the oil filter.  Mine came with 2 crush washers...where do they go?  Also on the "oil filter cover tube" (I just know you have a technical name for that) there are 2 rubber o-rings do they need to be replaced?  I thought I was getting everything I needed when I placed my order. :(
