My house is peaked, yet my garage is flat, covered with a deck, and
leaks, so I know what you mean.
At some point ($ and time) I'll replace the roof of the garage with a
membrane style roof.
Right now there are at least 6 buckets, bowls, etc, placed around the
garage.
My bro, back east used the membrane style roofing materials for a 2nd
story deck.
