lookee at the diesel 300 the folks across the pond get. and is that the same engine the sprinters got? they should have offered it. heck, mopar catalog should have offered a conversion. i always felt the 300 with 4 wheel drive and a diesel would be closer to the heart of the w126 than the last 3 S series. then again, when us oil refused to crack crude to make ultra low sulfur diesel, that kept the overseas diesels away. then us oil said they'd do it, so the diesels came. except us oil didn't do it right and all the poor diesels choked on sulfur. so now us oil claims to make ultra ultra low, which is really the ultra low they were supposed to make the first time around. well, now's the time for Chrysler to bring this car in. I wonder if the diesel heads would spring for it. maybe not the benz lovers, but the truck drivers and vw folks, and all the diesel magazine readers. and there was some talk by some bloggers about fiat diesels. that's not the head office though. hmmmm.
