I had 66 and 68 VW's and a 70 Wagon, but I would never buy a car named "Rabbit"  Of course that seems strange coming from someone who thought nothing of buying "Beetles"

BOTH my brothers bought Diesel Rabbits when they came out , they
were such wretched little cars is why I resisted trying a Diesel for
so many years .
