Buying a warranty is about your best move. I do not have a lot of experience with them, just one I have had for 2 years and made my first claim the other day. The mobile service I am using for this repair recommended the Good Sam's policy. Said they were better to deal with than the one I have now which is National Warranty of Florida. This was what they said and I don't have a lot of personal experience to add.

As others have suggested, buy a broad coverage extended warranty but make sure it is of the type that names what is NOT covered and also explicitly covers seals and gaskets. Too little mileage/usage is not a good thing.
