Subject: [diesel_mercedes] I.P. Delivery Valve Adjusting ?
O.K.Rob;
Here's what I remember :
The fellow told me he had some running issues and adjusted the delivery valves after loosening the two 13MM ATF nuts until the engine ran smoothly again .
I fooled with these nuts, removed them on a scrap injection pump and the delivery valve was still held firmly in place so I stopped there before destroying it .
Apparently the valves proper plus the springs and copper sealing washers are wear items and can be replaced fairly affordably ~ I want to do this but have NO IDEA where to buy these three parts....
The torque value of the valves 15MM aATF retainer is also critical .
I'm not done yet, just looking for parts to try something new .
BTW: is a cold compression test of 360 # O.K. ? mt books are stashed away far from here .
TIA,
-Nate

Nate,
I haven't worked on the IP, only injectors.
Interested, if you find out that info.
