I cant find any mention of adding gas in the 123 manual but on page 84 it has a chart for winterizing diesel by adding kerosene, which is what the fuel companies used to do up here in the frozen north, with a 50/50 mix. I was told several years ago there is some new process they use now, but dont know for sure. max

I'm inside now but I *think* my W-123 manual says not to exceed 20 % RUG .
I'd tell you I'll look at it to - morrow but I have lots to do getting ready to hit the road Friday morning .

In my original 1959 190D manual it stated in emergencies for winter it was OK to mix 40% gasoline in the #2 diesel for a winter mix. maxOn Tue, Apr 5, 2016 at 4:25 PM, 'Douglas G. A shop we had used in the past was close by, so she dropped off the car. The shop drained the tank (we paid a fee for disposal) and filled with diesel. Picked the car up the next morning and drove home with no issues and there have been no problems since (2 yrs). The shop manager was very impressed that the MBZ was a survivor, under the circumstances.Douglas G. Mason, Attorney at Law
