You've prolly got 2,000 ~ 3,000 miles before the rotors begin to grind to junk if you have new sensors , I'd replace those brake pads A.S.A.P. .
Whata car indeed ! I'm still waiting for the original Delco R4 AC Compressor to take a dump on SWMBO's '82 240D , it seeps ever so little , I've re charged it with R12 twice since we've owned it ~ I try to remember to run it weekly but I'm not often driving it .

So about 8 days ago, hooked the small trailer to the Mercedes and toured off to Seattle, put in the CC module, picked up some of the car parts we had ordered, & lit out for parts south. Car ran perfectly all the way to Mazatlan, where I am now all warm.

Just as we hit Southern Cal, the AC failed (the compressor was weak anyhow), and yesterday the brake pad warning light started blinking. Otherwise perfect trip, what a car.
How urgent is the warning light? it may be impossible to get pads here, and of course we do not want to score the rotors.
