I've known this junkyard turbo wasn't stellar for a long time (years) now but the sluggish acceleration is getting to me , especially after driving SWMBO's low mileage 300TD that weights far more than my dainty (heh) Diesel Sports Coupe does ~
The Wagon simply _hauls_@$$_ with very little foot feed , the Coupe needs full throttle to go 2/3 as fast and when I manually spin the turbo impeller I fell it has drag so I bet when I open it up I'll find serious coking in there .
I just ordered up the higher grade kit from Kent @ Mercedes Source .
Tom's been after me to do this for a while now , the constant exhaust smoking & Diesel Smoot on the cove , tells me he's right and I shoulda pulled the trigger here a few years ago .
