ANY new seals will require slamming for a day or two until the seals compress in areas that it needs to compress in. As a 40 year auto body repairman I have installed several trunk lid and door seals and the problem is always the same.

The seals came from aftermarket supplier URO Parts which is a wholesaler to places like Rock Auto or Autohaus etc. If I were doing it again, I think I would try Tom at the classic center. The URO Parts ones are made in Thailand or Malaysia, but maybe all of them are now. Anyway, relatively easy to install but not a "perfect fit" so I have to slam the door shut which I think will jiggle some screws loose one of these days. URO parts apparently is a very MAJOR after market supplier of parts for vehicles. I accidentally got in touch with their HQ offices when TWO front window seals arrived with defects (razor blade slits?) so I had to return them and get replacements.
