I assume that's an 80* C temp ? .
The glow plugs should be hot enough to give you a 3rd. degree burn should you be foolish enough to touch the brass , hexoganal part furthest out from the cylinder head (DO NOT do this !) .
I always wait a few seconds after the glowplug light goes out before operating the starter , this way ialways lights right off in less than 2/3 a crankshaft revolution .
Saves wear & tear on the starter motor and battery too .
Maybe it's time for a new secondary fuel filter and a Diesel Purge ? .
