I am well pleased ~
After yesterdays 1/8 turn of the idle stop screw , I noticed less smoke when leaving dead stops and faster , smoother accelleration too ! .
This morning I cold started the car without touching the throttle and it lit right off and idled , NO SHAKING ! .
An engin miss in a diesel is not only rare , it's a serious thing due to the nature of compression ignition engines , I think the miss was coking up the cylinders as my smoking is sharply reduced , so much so I got home last night and rigged out the garden hose , got my old milk crate to sit on and a .99 cent bottle of " MAGIC !! Spray On , Wipe Off Tire & Wheel Cleaner " and an old paint brush , sat down and carefully washed all four wheels then I cleaned the Diesel Smoot off the cove and rear bumper of my Coupe , it looks very spiffy (not really but those parts are clean anyway) again and I'm keen to se if the Smoot collects at a slower pace now.....
Well , off to work I go .
