I meant a new _KEY_ .
The keys wear out every so often and your local Locksmith can't make as good a copy as can the folks who built your car....
Seriously , I always buy one new key for every Mercedes I buy so I don't have locked out issues .
Once you have the new Mercedes key , most Locksmiths can make decent copies .
I assume you've tried shaking the key ever so gently in the lock as you gently try to turn it ? .
This is an aquired ability , I can do it fairly easily , I watched Tom struggle with his balky W-126 lock for a few years until he bought a new lock cylinder that works , well , like new .
