I've filled the "empty space" causing the slack with various "fillers".
The best has been the flat rubber strips off off screw on oil filters
(about 1 1/2 inch long). Thread/shove/pull into the space until it is
filled. Remember, when the bushing disappears, you have a space on
"both" ends of the slot that should be filled.
