O.K. , last Thursday as Tom and I were feverishly working against the clock , P-A-P was just beginning to fill in a row as we left , to - day I disvovered the second car in was a near cherry NA European Spec. 300D in shiny dark blue paint . Euro. Bumpers and all , they were *perfect* ~ better than the ones on my Coupe .
Naturally , a nice young fellow had already removed the bumpers , fenders, doors and hood for purchase , his boss runs an indie M-B Shop and buys up al these parts he can , I have no idea whom he sells too but them's the breakes , =8-( .
In the next row was a W-126 with the cleanest , tightest turbo I've ever seen in Pick-A-Part so I took it , it's not a Garret T3 , the Mfr's symbol is a big 'S' crossed by a horozontal bar.....
I'm gambling it'll be the best $105.00 I've spent in years .
I tried to take the IP too but you need to remove the oil filter cannister and I didn't have the allen bits to do that .
I got a few other good things cheaply too then skedaddled off to Pasadena where it wasn't any cooler (dammit) , at least there was a nice breeze .
All in all , another nice day out .
