He may not be able to tell you how much freon he put in. If he did it correctly, he didn't put in a measured amount, but rather installed only as much as is needed for the pressures (high side and low side) to be correct based on a number of factors (like ambient air temperature).
It WOULD be interesting to know what that amount was, though....

My mechanic guy checked my '85 300 SD and said it was already switched over. I didn't ask what exactly was changed, but he pumped it down, added 134, and it is working very well now. I also neglected to ask what amount of 134 he added. Want me to find out?
