never , _EVER_ get suckered into using those 'T' typ flush kits ~ they're BAD and only made so lazy ' mechanics ' can cheat you...

Your Mercedes has a nifty drain cock on the left lower tank of the radiator .

For better drainage , I simply undo the lower hose where it connects to the right side of the radiator , this allows more water & crud to flow out and allows you to peer in and rub your finger in there & see if it's clean (no residue) or still dirty (chunks of crap and your fingertip turns red) ....

The bashed oil pan is very common on these cars sad to say . the good news is : you can have it welded up or The Classic Center has them fairly affordably .
