Before replacing the alternator , I'd *highly* suggest replacing just the voltage regulator with the correct , ' Just So ' Bosch brand one from Tom via The Mercedes Classic Center , then have the battery slow charged or better yet , do it your ownself as slow charging is always best .

The _brand_ of voltage regulator makes an ENORMOUS difference in battery charging and overall electrical system health , you have to experience it to believe it .

So , no Bosch brand box to show you after the job is done , means : IT'S NOT RIGHT YET .
