Tight (lessthan .002" ) valves will BURN ~ this is a very bad thing so take the time to get them right .
Tight valves also are the primary cause of hard starting .
Loose valves cause loss of power and excessive noise .
Using bent 14MM open end wrenches is the smart thing to do , you can buy them OnLine for less than the cost of having the Mercedes Garage do one adjustment the re use them as this important adjustment needs doing at least once a year .
