True , buying old long dormant abandoned klunkers has forced me to learn more about cooling systems than I ever thought I would , being an Air Cooled VW Mechanic for many years .
I've covered it all in excruciating detail , just look up " Citric Acid Flush " , this being the Mercedes Factory approved method .
Read it ALL before you begin & follow the warnings & directions *EXACTLY* or you'll have troubles with it later on .
DO NOT use too much Citric Acid and DO NOT try to mix it in the cooling system . BT , DT , I clogged my radiator on the road and had to remove it in a gas station & clean it slowly by hand , lucky for me it didn't kill the engine from overheating when it clogged .
_YOU_ can do a better job @ home than any shop will ever do because it takes time & effort to do it right .
