Tire discussions have abounded in this group over the years. My 2 cents = unless you are driving abnormally (climbing mtns, off roading, on the autobahn daily), go with the mfg recommended size and quality. They paid those German Benz engineers well to come up with optimum round town sizes. This from a 70 year old who always ran odd sizes on other vehicles for various reasons.

I would like to hear recommendations for new tires for my car. i wanted tires with the following size 205 70 14 , but the selection is very limited. I am considering the Michelin hydro edge, yes they pricey and only available in 195 70 14.
