Nate, The inability to start anti-virus is a key indicator your system is still infected with a virus. The previous suggestions have been good, but if you are still unable to resolve the problem I may be able to help remotely. You can send me an invitation off-list to remote into your computer. We just need to coordinate a time – I’m in Central. Sunday or Monday would be better, as I’ll be away from the computer most of today. To send a remote assistance request:
Click on START.
Click on HELP AND SUPPORT
Click the link for WINDOWS REMOTE ASSISTANCE
Click on INVITE SOMEONE YOU TRUST TO HELP YOU
Click on the appropriate option – EMAIL or FILE. If you choose file, be sure to note the file location.
Create a password and click on FINSH.
