Reamer yes ,also replace pre chambers when they get all full of carbon & crud .

Nate R. explained this a while back , I've never needed to do it .

I's suggest checking your glow plugs , do it the easy / accurate way , not by taking it all apart .

Also , the glow plugs continue to heat after the lamp goes off , try waiting 10 seconds after the GP lamp goes out then try crankinbg the starter , this makes a world of difference in cold weather .

Also , it's prolly time to adjust your valves again , maybe add some Cetane boost , this also helps a lot .
